David Lukwago
Founder /CEO

David is a Behavioral Change Communication specialist with a bachelor’s degree in Agriculture Engineering from Makerere University and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School.
David has coordinated social development projects engaging governments, multi-donor agencies and multiple implementing partners. In these efforts, he managed teams in Uganda, Rwanda, and Zambia, overseeing budget planning and execution, contract negotiations and implementation, corporate and business strategy, program execution, logistics, administration, stakeholder management, and engagement with national and local authorities.


Brittany Janis
Member / Global Board of Advisors

Brittany has over 10 years in fundraising for social impact in local and international causes. She currently serves as the Project Coordinator of the Arctic Initiative at the Harvard Kennedy School Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs. Previously, she worked in strategic fund development and nonprofit management for a range of nonprofit organizations, including as a Major Gift Officer at Environmental Defense Fund (EDF). She’s a former President of the Association of Fundraising Professionals Golden Gate Chapter. She is a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) and holds a M.A. in Philanthropy and Development from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota and an MPA from the Harvard Kennedy School. She received her B.A. in History, Political Science, and Theater from Case Western Reserve University.


Taurai Chinyamakobvu
Co-Founder / COO

Taurai is an entrepreneur who has helped start multiple financial companies across Africa. He is the founder of Golix, the largest cryptocurrency exchange in Zimbabwe and the first Bitcoin company in the country that since expanded to Cameroon, Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda, South Africa, Tanzania and Uganda. Taurai is also a partner and former managing director of FloCash, serves as a director to Wazeshwa Fund Limited, and consults with Marubeni Corporation. He also founded the retail platform, Pazimba and has worked with Misys PLC/Ethics Consultancy, Powertel Communications, Zimbabwe Allied Banking Group, Royal Bank, and the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe. Taurai attended the Yale School of Management in 2014 as an inaugural Mandela Washington Fellow under President Obama’s Young African Leaders Initiative and recently graduated with a Master in Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School.


Cecily Tyler
Member / Global Board of Advisors

A producer from New York City, Cecily has been working in the field of communication for the past 20 years. She has taught, produced, and directed in the fields of documentary, television, independent filmmaking, theater, animation design and multi-media gaming. She has worked with the Discovery network; Public Broadcast System (PBS/WGBH); the NBC News educational website, “NBC News Learn;” New York Times Television; BBC NYC; Brown Alpert Medical School; 50 Lessons, and multiple independent productions. In 2010 the Department of Labor YouthBuild funded a 5-year “Teach the Teachers” initiative that she developed for YouthBuild USA focused on youth experiences. Cecily currently serves as a board member at the Handel & Haydn Society and serves at the Institute of Boston Contemporary Art in their Director’s Circle. In 2006 she founded Docutribe Inc, an organization that seeks to activate social change, and celebrate art and community through filmmaking. Cecily holds an MPA from the Harvard Kennedy School.


Irene Alaya Adogboba
Associate Director for Africa Operations

Irene is a global health specialist with over 10 years of experience in health programs management and coordination in Ghana. She currently serves as a Global Health Policy Fellow with Partners in Health. Irene has experience working on development projects across Africa, including leading projects aimed at empowering the youth to be change agents in their communities. She also has professional expertise in developing gender-based polices and using behavioral economics to inform behavior change initiatives.


Ariel Dloomy
Member / Global Board ofAdvisors

Ariel has 20 years of experience in community development, conflict resolution, and social enterprises in the Middle East and Africa. As Co-Executive Director of the Arab Jewish Center for Empowerment, Equality and Cooperation-Negev Institute for Strategies of Peace and Development (AJEEC-NISPED), he is responsible for the development and implementation of large-scale programming in the Arab-Bedouin society of the Negev in employment, health promotion, environment, education and volunteerism. Ariel writes and lectures in the field of community development among societies in transition. Throughout the years, Ariel administered programs and cooperated with communities including South Africa, Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Nigeria, and Sri Lanka. Ariel holds a BA in Middle Eastern Studies and Government and Politics from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, an MA in the Politics of the Middle East from the University of London’s School of Middle Eastern and African Studies, and an MPA from the Harvard Kennedy School.


Rachel Cherington
Board Secretary / Director, USA Operations

Rachel is a partner with Joseph Hage Aaronson, LLC, with more than 10 years of experience litigating complex commercial disputes. Formerly, she served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Guinea, supporting nutrition and health programs, multisectoral nutrition policy development, maternal health training, and construction of a primary school. Rachel has a BA from Emory University, a JD from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, and an MPA from the Harvard Kennedy School.


Andre’ Almeida Santos

Andre is the Founder of Dama Mobility Services and has over 18 years of experience in development finance, strategy, and policy. Andre specializes in anti-poverty transformational and development strategies, macroeconomic management and country financing framework, impact investment and financial markets. Senior Advisor for Responsible Investment – Indigo Capital Partners. Principle country economist – Africa development Bank.
